It gives me immense pleasure to introduce the Society
of Indian Students in Gent which has been launched with great enthusiasm in 2007 with its first event as Diwali, the festival
of lights. Since then SISGent has been organizing multiple activities including cultural festivals, city-trips, movie-evenings,
games and shows bringing India closer to the heart of Europe (See Events). SISGent has been founded as an association for
helping Indians studying or residing in and around Gent and to organize various activities creating an Indian ambience here.
It is a perfect place for students, consultants,
executives, technocrats from India to find answers of queries ranging from arrival till departure
from Gent. SISGent is bound to organize India-oriented activities
and exchanges in Gent and its membership is opened to all who are interested in India and its culture thus anybody can be a member of the organization even if he/she is not an Indian or not a student.
I am glad for the overwhelming response already received
and heartily welcome you aboard to a journey to India in Belgium,
